Yesterday, my 2 year old son was devouring the delicious Butternut Squash Soup but ended up mainly eating the toasted bread I usually make to accompany soup. It’s the easiest thing to make in the world and I haven’t yet found a person that doesn’t like it.

Recipe Notes
1) the thinner the slice of bread the crispy the bread will be and shorter the bake time. I personally like them a bit thicker. The crust is nice and crunchy and the center soft and a bit chewy. 2) You can brush the bread with Olive oil, drizzle it on, or spritz it with a spray bottle. Spraying the olive oil allows you to use less oil while still covering the entire slice of bread.3.) Bake times can vary due to thickness and type of bread. Watch it carefully while in the oven!
